Cajun bacon slices with sprout stew

Mix the ingredients for the cajun spices with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of pepper.

Cook the potatoes in water with salt for about 20 minutes. Add the sprouts over the last 10 minutes of the cooking time.

Sprinkle the bacon slices around with 1-2 tablespoons of cajun spices. Heat half of the butter and fry the bacon strips crispy in about 15 minutes.

Drain the potatoes and sprouts, add the milk and other butter and crush into a smooth stew. Season with salt and pepper.

Pour 100 ml of water into the shortening, bring to the boil and stir the cakes to a gravy.

Serve the sprouts stew with the bacon steaks and gravy.
