Apples with homemade caramel.
Bring the granulated sugar to the boil with the water in a saucepan with a thick bottom, over medium heat, without stirring.
Leave on the pan over medium heat in 15-20 min. Until caramel. Do not stir! .
The color of the caramel must be golden brown. Take care that the caramel is not too dark, then it tastes bitter.
Clean the apples, put the (saté) sticks in the apples in the peel and roll through the caramel.
Place the apples on a sheet of parchment paper. Work quickly, otherwise the caramel will become hard and you can no longer use it. Let cool and serve.
