Charcoal with mustard and zeeuws bacon
A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, green cabbage, crumbly cooking potatoes (800 g), butter, onion (chopped), mustard, Gelderse smoked sausage (350 g), Zeeland bacon (meat products and 144 g).

Cut the coals into quarters, remove the hard grain and cut the coals into thin strips. Boil the potatoes for 15 minutes according to the instructions on the packaging, add the coals after 10 minutes.

In the meantime, heat the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes. Drain the potatoes and coals, collect the cooking water. Mash the potatoes and coals with the puree masher. Put the fried onion and mustard through. Add some cooking water if the stew is too dry. Heat the smoked sausage according to the instructions on the packaging.

Fry the bacon in a frying pan without oil or butter. Crumble it and scoop through the stew. Serve the charcoal with the smoked sausage.
