Chicken fillet with citrus parts and star anise from the oven
Oven dish of chicken breast marinated in oil and 5 spices powdered with carrots and star anise, sprinkled with mandarin juice served with segments of mandarin and mint with lemon zest.

Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Halve the carrots in length and spread with the star anise over the oven dish.

Bulp the mandarin and grate the orange zest. Clean the lemon and grate the yellow skin. Squeeze the grated mandarin.

Sprinkle the carrots with the juice and oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Mix the oil with the 5 spice powder to marinade. Season with pepper and salt.

Brush the chicken breasts with the marinade and lay on the carrots. Bake for about 40 minutes in the middle of the oven.

Meanwhile, peel the tangerines and divide into segments. Remove the leaves from the sprigs of fresh mint and cut into strips. Mix the fresh mint with the citrus grater.

Remove the chicken from the oven dish. Place the carrots with the mandarin slices on a large flat dish.
