                                Cook the chicory bushes in the salted water for about 12 minutes.

                                Meanwhile, make the cheese sauce. Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the flour. Add the milk at small amounts simultaneously and stirring.

                                Stir the grated cheese through the sauce. Season the sauce with pepper and salt.

                                Let the cooked chicory drain well. Wrap each bush in a slice of ham.
