Stir the cranberry compote well with the mascarpone.

For the glaze, let the rest of the chocolate melt in the whipped cream at a low setting and stir well. Allow to cool to lukewarm while stirring.

Cut the cake horizontally in half and brush the bottom with the cranberry cream. Put the top on it.

Place the cake on the grid above a pan on a baking tray. Pour the chocolate glaze over the cake and smooth the top with a large knife. Allow excess frost to drain along the side of the cake.
