Compote of red cabbage, cloves and honey
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: oil, butter, red onions (in thin segments), red cabbage (chopped), clove, cinnamon, beef broth (from tablet) and honey.

Heat the oil and butter in a thick-bottomed pan and fry the onions until they turn brown.

Spoon the red cabbage and add the clove, cinnamon, beef stock and honey.

Let the whole stew with the lid on the pan for 10 minutes.

Season the compote with salt and (freshly ground) pepper and 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar if necessary.

Delicious with stew and puree..
