Clean the lemon and orange. Grate the yellow skin of the lemon and the orange skin of the orange. Press out both fruits.

Ris the leaves of the sprigs of thyme.

Put the cranberries with the grater and juice of the lemon and orange, the thyme, the cinnamon stick and the sugar in a saucepan.

Bring to a boil over medium heat. Turn down the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and allow the compote to cool to room temperature in 30 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick.
