Cook the asparagus in the chicken broth for 5-6 minutes.

Remove them from the pan and store the cooking liquid. Cut the cups of the asparagus and keep them separate. Puree the rest of the asparagus.

Stir the cream through the asparagus and add the pureed asparagus and pepper to taste. Heat without cooking.
