Dutch herring skewer with horseradish cream


A tasty Dutch recipe. The snack contains the following ingredients: fish, boiled beet (ca.125 g), spice vinegar, freshly ground pepper, cucumber, Dutch New Hampshire, zureroom, grated horseradish (pot), chives and salt.

Directions

  1. Peel the beet and cut into 4 slices to the thickness of herring.
  2. Cut slices into quarters and sprinkle with 1 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar.
  3. Sprinkle with pepper.
  4. Cucumber and cut in 4 slices to the thickness of herring.
  5. Cut slices into quarters.
  6. Cutting tails of herrings and cutting herring fillets into pieces.
  7. Slices of beet, cucumber and herring alternately on skewers.
  8. In a bowl, stir the sour cream with horseradish and the remaining vinegar into a sauce.
  9. Cut the chives above it finely.
  10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Place skewers around on a large plate and put horseradish cream in a bowl in the middle.
  12. Serve with strips of Frisian rye bread..
