Dutch herring skewer with horseradish cream
A tasty Dutch recipe. The snack contains the following ingredients: fish, boiled beet (ca.125 g), spice vinegar, freshly ground pepper, cucumber, Dutch New Hampshire, zureroom, grated horseradish (pot), chives and salt.
Peel the beet and cut into 4 slices to the thickness of herring.
Cut slices into quarters and sprinkle with 1 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar.
Sprinkle with pepper.
Cucumber and cut in 4 slices to the thickness of herring.
Cut slices into quarters.
Cutting tails of herrings and cutting herring fillets into pieces.
Slices of beet, cucumber and herring alternately on skewers.
In a bowl, stir the sour cream with horseradish and the remaining vinegar into a sauce.
Cut the chives above it finely.
Season with salt and pepper.
Place skewers around on a large plate and put horseradish cream in a bowl in the middle.
Serve with strips of Frisian rye bread..
