A tasty French recipe. The vegetarian side dish contains the following ingredients: olive oil, red onions (in half rings), dried figs (very finely chopped) and red wine vinegar.

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the figs.
  3. Add the vinegar and 8 tbsp water and mix.
  4. Let it cook for 15 minutes on low heat with a lid on the pan until the figs are soft.
  5. Season with pepper and let cool.
  6. Serve with a Dutch or luxurious cheese board..
