Filo pastry pie with sesame filling and honey syrup
A nice Mediterranean recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: roasted sesame seeds (250 g), white almonds ((a 45 g), finely chopped), gingerbread, liquid honey, butter (melted), filo puff pastry ((frozen, 225 g), thawed), cinnamon stick and lemon juice.

Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.

In a bowl mix sesame seeds, almonds, biscuits, 3 tbsp honey and half of butter.

Carefully unfold defrosted dough sheets.

Place dough sheet in greased tart mold and cover with butter.

Lay 4 more layers of dough, cover each layer with butter.

Sesame mixture to create and smooth.

Place 5 dough sheets on top and cover each sheet with butter.

Cut away excess dough along edges.

Spread portions into 16 squares with a sharp knife pie.

Do not completely cut to the bottom.

Cake in the middle of oven in approx.

40 min.

Until cooked and golden brown.

In the meantime, bring 250 ml water with 5 tbsp honey and cinnamon stick to the boil in the saucepan.

Gently reduce to thin syrup.

Allow to cool and stir in lemon juice.

Remove the pie from the oven and pour honey syrup evenly over it.

Allow the cake to cool down and allow syrup to withdraw.

Lukewarm or serve at room temperature..
