Oven-licking apple pie from the plate with walnuts.

Directions

  1. Put the flour, caster sugar and salt in a bowl. Cut the butter with 2 knives until a crumbly dough is created.
  2. Finely chop the walnuts, add and knead the dough into a ball. Pack it in cling film and leave to rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the oven to 175 ºC. Roll the dough into a rectangular slab on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
  4. Fold the edges around to create a raised edge.
  5. Crumble the almond paste, stir it with the eggs and spread over the dough.
  6. Peel and cut the apples in four, remove the core and cut the parts into slices.
  7. Heat the rest of the butter in a frying pan and fry the apple for 2 minutes on a high heat. Add the sugar and cinnamon and cook for another 2 minutes.
  8. Spread the apple mixture over the dough. Bake in the middle of the oven in approx. 40 min. Until golden brown and done.
