Directions

  1. Sprinkle the hampen with salt, pepper and flour. Heat the butter and fry the meat around brown in 5 minutes. Remove it from the pan.
  2. Fry the onions and bacon for 2 minutes in the shortening.
  3. Pour in the beer and bring to the boil. Add the meat, the bay leaves, thyme and mustard and gently simmer with the lid for 45 minutes.
  4. Add the carrot and prunes for the last half an hour.
  5. Remove the bay leaves. Serve the dish, sprinkled with parsley, with brown bread or fries.
