Cook the deep-frozen peas for 5-7 minutes and drain them.

Fry the bacon cubes for 4-5 minutes in a dry hot frying pan. Spoon the shallots and garlic and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add the butter, sugar, 1/2 head of iceberg or butter lettuce into strips, salt and pepper to the peas. Heat without cooking.

Mix in the bacon mixture and sprinkle with chopped parsley or mint. Delicious as a side dish with meat and fish.
