French toast with marinated strawberries
Breakfast dish with French toast, made from brioche bread, egg, milk and cinnamon sugar, with strawberries marinated in lime juice, basil and powdered sugar.

Grate the green skin of the lime and squeeze out half of the fruit. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips.

Wash the strawberries and remove the crowns. Halve the strawberries and mix them with the lime zest and juice, the basil and the icing sugar. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat the eggs in a deep plate with the milk and cinnamon sugar.

Roll the bread into the egg-milk mixture and leave it in it, so that the bread can absorb the mixture.

Heat the butter in a large frying pan and fry the bread in 6 min. On medium heat until golden brown. Turn halfway.

Serve the French toast with the marinated strawberries.
