Directions

  1. Additional requirements: hand mixer, food processor, Christmas cookies, cutouts and baking paper.
  2. Grind the almonds in the food processor.
  3. Mix the ground almonds in a bowl with the flour, baking powder, a pinch of salt, gingerbread, orange peel and lemon peel.
  4. In a mash bowl, beat the egg and sugar in 5 minutes to a thick creamy mass and whisk in the honey and milk.
  5. Then mix in the flour mixture until it becomes a dough.
  6. Leave the dough covered with plastic wrap in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. The taste will be better if you leave it a few hours to a day.
  8. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  9. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a piece of 0.75 cm thick and use the protruding molds to cut out cookies.
  10. Roll out the leftover dough again and cut out cookies again.
  11. Place the cookies with gaps on a baking tray covered with parchment paper.
  12. Bake the cookies - if necessary twice in the oven - for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and done.
  13. Allow the cookies to cool on a grid.
  14. Stir the powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice into a glaze.
  15. Heat the chocolate glaze according to the instructions.
  16. Brush half of the biscuits with lemon glaze and the other half with chocolate glaze.
  17. Let the glaze get hard and keep the cookies in a drum.
