Clean the orange.

Use a sharp knife to cut the orange skin thinly from the orange.

Pour the wine and vodka in a pan and add all the other ingredients, except the sugar cubes.

Heat the wine to the boiling point and let the wine gently draw for 45 minutes, the wine may just not boil.

Remove the orange peels and, if necessary, the cardamom pods and the cinnamon stick.

Place a lump of sugar in glass tea cups and pour the warm wine on it.
