Swiss potato cakes


A tasty recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: crumbly potatoes (cooked and cooled), eggs, flour, butter (melted), nutmeg and grated (gruyere).

Directions

  1. Make the potatoes with a fork very finely in a bowl and mix the egg with 100 g of flour and the butter through it. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste. Mix everything into a fine dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Sprinkle the rest of the flour on the work surface and roll the pieces of dough onto rolls of 2 cm thick. Cut the rolls into slices of 1 cm thick.
  3. Preheat the oven grill. Cook the potato small pancakes in a pan with plenty of boiling water with salt in approx. 2 min. Then they come to the surface. Let the potato small pancakes drain in a colander.
  4. Spread the potato small pancakes in the oven dish and sprinkle the cheese over it. Slide the dish under the hot grill and let the cheese melt in 2 minutes.
