Hole pancakes with honey


A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian breakfast contains the following ingredients: flour, semolina, dried yeast (3 bags a 7 g), egg, semi-skimmed milk, olive oil and orange blossom pouring honey (350 g).

Directions

  1. Mix in a bowl the flour with the semolina, the yeast and a pinch of salt. Make a well in the middle and break the egg above it. Heat the milk and 200 ml water in a saucepan until lukewarm. Pour in the flour and the egg and beat everything well. Use a mixer if necessary. Cover the bowl with cling film and let the batter rise at room temperature for at least 2 hours until it is frothy and bubbles are visible.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan with non-stick coating. Pour a tablespoon of batter into the pan and distribute it evenly. Fry the pancake 2-3 min. On medium heat until small holes appear. Turn the pancake when the dough is completely dry and bake the other side for 30 seconds. Remove the pancake from the pan and keep warm under aluminum foil. Repeat until you have baked 12 pancakes. Serve the warm pancakes directly with the honey.
