Hot strawberries in vanilla sauce
A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: vanilla pods, whipped cream, egg, sugar and strawberries.

Cut open vanilla pods in length. Scrape out vanilla with a sharp knife. Cook vanilla scallops and vanilla pod gently with the cream. Meanwhile, pour egg and sugar into a foamy mass. Mix warm cream while stirring with egg mixture. Stir in the pan gently while stirring, until it begins to thicken. Remove vanilla pods and allow sauce to cool.

Preheat the grill to the highest setting. Meanwhile, wash strawberries, remove the crown and cut into slices. Spread strawberry slices over four plates. Beat the sauce again. Distribute sauce over strawberries. Place the dishes with strawberries and sauce for about 2 minutes under the hot grill until the sauce starts to discolour. Serve immediately.
