Directions

  1. Chop the onion finely and cut the sucadein pieces. Heat the butter in a thick-bottomed frying pan and fry the onions golden yellow.
  2. Add the meat and brown all around. Pour in the stock and add the bay leaves, clove, meat herbs and (freshly ground) pepper to taste.
  3. Let the meat with the lid tilted on the pan in 45-50 min. Cook, shovel occasionally.
  4. Peel the potatoes and cook the potatoes in a bowl of water with salt with the lid on the pan in 20 minutes until done. Drain them.
  5. Heat the milk. Mash the potatoes with the butter and warm milk. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into slices.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.
  7. Grease the oven dish. Fill the oven dish with a layer of mashed potatoes, a layer of meat and a layer of apple.
  8. Repeat this 2 more times, so that there are three layers of mashed potatoes, three layers of meat and three layers of apple.
  9. Sprinkle the whole with a layer of breadcrumbs and spread the butter over it. Bake the dish in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes until done.
