Japanese sweet and sour marinade
A nice Japanese recipe. The side dish contains the following ingredients: medium dry sherry, Japanese (rice vinegar), Japanese soy sauce, honey, fresh ginger (finely chopped) and oil.

In a pan, bring sherry, vinegar, soy sauce, honey and ginger to the boil while stirring and simmer for 5 minutes. Let Marinade cool down. Mix oil through marinade. Spread the fish, meat or vegetables just before grilling and half-way with marinade.
