Directions

  1. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes and the crumbly potatoes into pieces.
  2. In a pan, bring a layer of 3 cm of water to the boil.
  3. Add the kale and lay the pieces of sweet potato and regular potato on it.
  4. Let the kale settle in 3-4 minutes.
  5. Cover everything, add some salt and put the smoked sausage on it.
  6. Cook the kale and potatoes covered in another 15 minutes until done.
  7. Keep the smoked sausage warm on a plate under aluminum foil.
  8. Drain the kale, but keep the moisture.
  9. Mash the kale and potatoes with a pestle.
  10. Stir in half of the piccalilli and stir in so much cooking water that it becomes a smooth stew.
  11. Serve in deep plates with a piece of smoked sausage on it.
  12. Enter the remaining piccalilly.
  13. Also tasty with mustard, onions and pickles.
