Lentil salad
A tasty French recipe. The lunch contains the following ingredients: meat, red lentils, onions, clove, winter carrot (about 6 cm), garlic, bay leaf, fresh parsley, thyme, salt and pepper, bacon strips, Dijon mustard, wine vinegar, oil and fresh chives.

Wash lentils in colander.

Cover in large pan of lentils with water and bring to the boil.

Meanwhile, peel onions and clove in 1 onion.

Carrot root and cut into small cubes.

Peel garlic.

Bay leaf, wrap 2 sprigs of parsley and thyme with wire.

Add to lentils in pan: onion with cloves, winter carrot, 1 clove of garlic, herb bouquet and salt and pepper.

Turn the fire low and cook the lentils for about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, bake bacon strips gently in frying pan.

Chop the rest of onion and garlic.

Mix in bowl with mustard and vinegar.

Add oil while stirring.

Season with salt and pepper.

Drain the lentils and briefly evaporate.

Remove onion, garlic and herb bouquet.

Cut small chives and chop the remainder of parsley.

Mix evaporated lentils with dressing, baked bacon strips and parsley.

Sprinkle with chives.

Serving lukewarm..
