Wash the apples, cut them in four and remove the cores. Cut the parts each into 3 parts. Fry the bacon strips in a non-stick frying pan with 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until crispy brown. Spoon the bacon on a plate.

Fry the apple slices in the shortening in 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Place the apple slices with the bacon. Stir in the orange juice through the shortening and stir the cakes. Let it boil down to a nice dressing and stir in the drained lentils and bacon.

Divide the arugula over bowls. Spoon the lentil salad in the middle and spread the apple wedges over it.
