Letter soup

A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian main course contains the following ingredients: vegetable stock, water (boiling), onion, celery, carrots, olive oil, sifted tomatoes (passata), letter paste or letter vermicelli, fresh basil, pepper and salt and wholemeal breadsticks.

Directions

  1. Put the bouillon cube in a measuring cup and pour half a liter of boiling water.
  2. Stir until the block is completely dissolved. Peel the onion and cut it into small pieces.
  3. Cut the stalks of celery and carrots into thin slices.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a pan over the heat and add the onion, celery and carrots. Bake them for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the sifted tomatoes and stock and wait until everything is boiling. Turn down the heat and let the soup simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Cook the letter vermicelli, on the package is how exactly you do that. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the soup. Cut the basil into strips. Sprinkle the cooked letter vermicelli and the basil leaves into the soup. Serve the breadsticks.
