Mandarin turban with poppy seeds
Sweet turban of mandarins, polenta, eggs, almond flour and poppy seeds.

Put the unpeeled mandarins in a pan and add as much water as they can undergo.

Bring the water to the boil and simmer for 2 hours with the lid on the pan. Drain and allow to cool for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Grease the turban shape with baking spray and sprinkle with the polenta.

Put the mandarins in a large bowl and puree with the hand blender. You can also purée in a food processor.

Add the eggs, baking powder and sugar and puree until battered.

Put the batter in a bowl and mix in the almond flour and the poppy seed. Pour the batter into the turban shape.

Bake the turban in the middle of the oven for about 50 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil if the turban becomes too dark.

Allow to cool completely in the form (at least 3 hours) before pouring it on a scale.
