Oatmeal meringue pie with stew pears
Preheat the oven grill. Roast the almonds in a dry, hot frying pan until golden brown.
Beat the egg whites and sugar with the mixer until stiff peaks. Fill the oatmeal bottom with the stew pears and divide the egg white into peaks.
Brown the meringue briefly under the hot oven grill or use a small burner. Sprinkle the oatmeal meringue pie with the almonds and serve immediately.
