Onions with minced meat from the oven

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Peel the onions and cut them in half. Place the onions with the cutting edge upwards in the roasting pan and brush the tops with two thirds of the olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Allow the onions to be cooked in the oven in 40 minutes.

Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan and fry the minced meat. Sprinkle with paprika, thyme, salt and freshly ground pepper and fry for another 2 minutes.

Sprinkle the mince with the fried onions and grated cheese over the onions and heat them for another 10-15 minutes in the oven until the cheese has melted. Serve with mashed potatoes and a salad of beetroot.
