A tasty recipe. The vegetarian dessert contains the following ingredients: oranges, butter (at room temperature), white caster sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, sour cream, orange juice and self-raising flour.
Preheat the oven to 175 ° C. Clean 2 oranges and grate the skin very finely. Put 350 grams of soft butter, 400 grams of caster sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and beat with the mixer for 8-10 minutes until the mixture is light and creamy. Beat the eggs one by one and then the sour cream. Also add the orange juice and half of the orange zest. Mix well for a few more minutes. Finally, spread the flour through the mixture.
Divide the batter over the 2 springforms and fry the cake bottoms on a rack in the center of the oven in 45-55 minutes until lightly browned and done. In the meantime, mix 250 grams of soft butter with 150 grams of caster sugar and the rest of the grated orange peel into a cream and let it set in the refrigerator.
Cut the remaining 2 oranges into very thin slices. Bring 200 grams of caster sugar with 250 ml of water in a frying pan to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Turn the heat down and cook the orange slices for 20 minutes until the orange is transparent and the skin soft. Note: do not allow to cook until caramel syrup! .
Let the cake bottoms cool down on a rack and only then remove the spring form. Cut the cake bottoms at the top straight. Place a cake base on a cake dish and cover it with cream. Place the second cake base on it and press it down slightly. Spread the rest of the cream over the top and garnish the cake with the leaked orange slices.
