Ostrich steak with apple-fig chutney


A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: poultry, dried dried figs (250 g), butter, onion (chopped), apples (peeled and diced), white wine vinegar, ostrich steaks and red wine (Norton Malbec).

Directions

  1. Cut figs into pieces.
  2. Fry half of butter in pan with a thick bottom.
  3. Onion on medium heat about 3 minutes.
  4. Add apple and fry for 1 min.
  5. Add figs, vinegar and 100 ml water and gently simmer over a soft heat for 10-15 minutes until mixture is thick and soft.
  6. Season the chutney with salt and pepper.
  7. Meanwhile, sprinkle steaks with pepper.
  8. Heat butter leftover in frying pan and ostrich steaks on high heat in 4-6 min.
  9. Brown and bake in half, halfway through.
  10. Remove from pan, wrap in foil and let it rest for a while.
  11. Pour the red wine into the pan with shortening.
  12. Reduce to about half of the heat on high heat, stirring up loafs.
  13. Spread the steak on four plates and sprinkle with a little salt.
  14. Give gravy to it.
  15. Chutney next to it.
  16. Tasty with mashed potatoes and broccoli..
