Halve the baguette lengthwise and cut each half into 4 equal pieces. Drizzle the bread with the olive oil.

Heat a grill pan and grill the pieces of baguette with the cutting edge down in the pan until there are nice grill stripes on it.

Place on a plate with the grilled side up. Meanwhile, grate the beef tomatoes according to the steps at the bottom of this page.

Stir in the rest of the olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Spoon the tomato sauce on the grilled rolls or serve the sauce separately.
