Penne with home-made spicy tomato sauce with ham.

Directions

  1. Boil the penne in boiling water for 12-14 minutes until al dente.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into pieces.
  3. Cut the stalk of the red pepper. Halve the pepper in the length and remove the seed lists with a sharp knife. Cut the pepper finely.
  4. Mix the tomato and the red pepper in a microwave dish and squeeze out the garlic.
  5. Add the provencal herbs and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Heat the tomato mixture in the microwave covered for about 5 minutes at full power (700 Watt) until the tomato pieces are soft.
  7. Meanwhile, cut the spring onions into rings.
  8. Cut the ham into strips of approx. 2 cm wide.
  9. Puree the tomato mixture with a hand blender into a smooth sauce.
  10. Put the spring onions and the ham through them and let the sauce heat uncovered for 1-2 minutes at full power.
  11. Drain the pasta and scoop in deep plates. Divide the tomato sauce over it.
