Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Spread the slices of puff pastry and let them thaw. Meanwhile grind the almonds into a fine flour in the food processor. Finely chop the salami. In a bowl, mix ground beef with paprika, cinnamon, salt, freshly ground pepper, ground almonds, salami and egg. Knead everything very well into an even, slightly sticky mixture.
  2. Place the slices of puff pastry on the work surface next to each other to form a long rectangle, let the pieces overlap by 1 cm, press the seams tightly. Divide the minced meat mixture in the middle into a long sausage of approx. 4 cm diameter, leave 5 cm on the short sides.
  3. Fold the long sides of the dough over the minced meat and shape the whole into a long roll. Moisten the dough with a little water and press the edges together well. Also close the ends of the roll well.
  4. Carefully place the roll - if possible with 2 people - in the shape of an S with the seam down on the baking tray. Brush the top with milk. Bake the pastry letter in the middle of the oven in 25-35 minutes until golden brown and done. Leave the pastry letter out of the oven for 10 minutes and then cut the roll into pieces.
