Penne with asparagus and ham


Quick pasta with white asparagus, roasted ham and whipped cream, served with Parmesan cheese.

Directions

  1. Peel the asparagus, cut approx. 3 cm. from the bottom. Cut the asparagus in three, keep the cups separate. Cook in a pan with plenty of water and salt asparagus steaks in 4 to 6 minutes. Just done, add the cups after about 2 minutes and cook.
  2. In the meantime, cut the ham into strips. Scrape the cheese with a cheese slicer into thin flinters. Drain the asparagus and drain well. Cook in a pan with plenty of water and salt the penne according to the directions on the package al dente,.
  3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large pan. Fry the pieces of ham gently for about 1 min. Scoop the asparagus through and warm for 1 min. Stir in the cream and crème fraîche and warm the sas for about 30 seconds.
  4. Season with pepper and salt. Drain the penne and pour in the sauce. Garnish with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
