Put the syrup, honey, salt and egg in a bowl. Sift the self-raising flour, the flour, biscuit and 5 spice herbs above it.

Knead everything well into a cohesive, firm dough ball. Press the dough ball a little flat, wrap in cling film and leave for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and cut into slices of approx. 1½ cm thick.

Cut the slices into strips of the same thickness and cut the strips into cubes again.

Divide the cubes over a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Fry the gingerbread in the middle of the oven for 15 min. Until golden brown and done.
