Pork chops in mustard onion gravy


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, potatoes (crumbly, peeled and chopped), lemon (cleaned), rib chops, olive oil, green beans (cleaned), onions (in rings), mustard (coarse) and meat broth (from tablet).

Directions

  1. Boil the potatoes in a bottom of water with salt in approx.
  2. 20 min.
  3. Until done.
  4. Grate the yellow skin of the lemon and squeeze out the fruit.
  5. Dab the rib chops dry with kitchen paper and sprinkle the meat with salt and (freshly ground) pepper.
  6. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a frying pan and fry the chops in 4-5 min.
  7. Per side until golden brown and done.
  8. Meanwhile, boil the green beans in salted water in 4-5 minutes until al dente.
  9. Remove the meat from the pan and keep it warm under a lid or aluminum foil.
  10. Fry the onion in the shortening lightly brown.
  11. Stir in the mustard and stock.
  12. Allow the gravy to reduce to the desired thickness and season with salt and (freshly ground) pepper.
  13. Put the pork chops back in the gravy.
  14. Drain the potatoes and collect the cooking liquid.
  15. Stamp them with sufficient cooking liquid and 2 tbsp olive oil to a smooth puree.
  16. Add salt, (freshly ground) pepper, lemon juice and the rack to taste.
  17. Divide the lemon puree over 4 plates.
  18. Put the pork chops and spread the onion gravy over it.
  19. Serve with the green beans.
  20. Put the rest of the gravy in a bowl on the table..
