Ingredients
Directions
-
Sprinkle the meat around with salt and pepper and sprinkle lightly with flour. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan and fry the pieces of meat in 2-3 portions in a few minutes. Scoop out the pan in between to bake the next portion.
-
Stir the cakes on the bottom of the pan and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Fry the onion rings gently and lightly brown for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic, mace and 3/4 of the sage and fruit for another 2 minutes.
-
Put all the meat back in the pan and pour the tomato cubes and stock until the meat is just below. Stir and bring to the boil.
-
Turn the heat source down and place the lid on the pan. Let the meat simmer slowly in about 2.5 hours.
-
After about 2 hours add the pumpkin and beans and simmer for a minimum of 30 minutes.
-
Sprinkle with the remaining sage. Tasty with baguette.
