Red cabbage with apples
Refreshing red cabbage with apples and gingerbread.

Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, cut into quarters and cut the hard core and sprout.

Cut or scrape each piece of coal along the cutting edges into long, narrow strips and wash it. Peel the shallot and insert the cloves.

Put the cabbage strips and shallot with the salt in a pan. Pour a base of water on the coals and bring to a boil.

Turn the heat down and let the red cabbage with lid on pan for 20-25 minutes.

Peel the apple and cut into cubes. Cut the gingerbread into cubes. After 10 minutes, scoop the apple and gingerbread through the red cabbages and heat them.

When the red cabbage is cooked, remove the shallot with cloves and season with cane sugar, pepper and salt.
