Directions

  1. Heat the oil and fry the onion for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the chicken spices and fruit for another minute.
  3. Add the coals with a pinch of salt and simmer for a moment. Pour in 100 ml of water and simmer the coals with the lid on the pan for about 1 hour at a low setting. Use a flame distributor when cooking on gas.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Place the chicken in an oven dish. Mix the chicken herbs with the orange peel, honey and butter and rub the chicken around.
  5. Place the chicken on his chest and cover the dish with aluminum foil. Fry the chicken in the oven for about 1 hour.
  6. Remove the foil and turn the chicken on its back. Bake for another 20 minutes until the skin of the chicken is crispy.
  7. If necessary, stir a few lumps of butter through the frying fat to bind the gravy.
  8. Spoon the chocolate and gingerbread through the red cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Warm for a few more minutes.
  9. Divide the chicken into pieces and serve with the gravy and red cabbage.
  10. Tasty with cooked crumbly potatoes.
