Roast beef with orange glaze
A tasty recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, orange marmalade, whiskey (liquorice), orange juice, tomato ketchup, red wine vinegar, fresh ginger root (peeled), roast beef ((about 600 g), at room temperature), watercress and olive oil extra virgin.
- 3 tablespoons Orange Marmelade
- 4 tablespoons whiskey
- 4 tablespoons orange juice
- 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Red wine vinegar
- 2 cm fresh ginger root peeled
- 1 broken Roast beef (about 600 g), at room temperature
- 75 g watercress
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Preheat oven to 225 ° C.
Heat marmalade in saucepan with whiskey, orange juice, ketchup and vinegar.
Peel the ginger root and press the saucepan with the help of a (strong) garlic press.
Bring the glaze mixture to the boil and simmer for 1 min.
Meat on grid, with roasting tray underneath, baking for 10 minutes in oven.
Switch the oven temperature back to 200 ° C.
Remove roast beef from oven and cover with orange glaze.
Roast the meat for 10 minutes in a frying pan, then remove from the oven and cover with the rest of the glaze (store 1 t).
Roast beef for another 5 minutes in the oven.
Spread roast beef from oven in double sheet of aluminum foil and leave to rest for 10 minutes.
Mix watercress with 1 tbsp oil and the rest of orange glaze.
Cut roast beef into thin slices and lay them on a large scale.
