French chicken with olives and white wine sauce

Directions

  1. Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with salt and (freshly ground) pepper. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the chicken pieces on both sides brown.
  3. Spoon the onion and garlic with the chicken in the pan. Fruit them briefly with the chicken until they see light brown.
  4. Put the thyme and the olives in the pan with the chicken and stir. Pour in the white wine and the chicken broth.
  5. Bring to the boil and let it simmer gently with the lid on the pan for 1 hour.
  6. Scoop the chicken out of the pan and let the frying liquid with the olives reduce a little to a slightly thicker sauce.
