Root ginger stew


A tasty Dutch recipe. The vegetarian main course contains the following ingredients: crumbly boiling potatoes, winter carrots (about 600 g), ginger root, onion, butter or margarine, vegetarian smoked sausage (a 200 g) and milk.

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes, cut into small pieces, wash and cook until about 20 minutes.
  2. Roast the carrots and cut into cubes.
  3. Ginger root peel and grate.
  4. Peel and chop onions.
  5. Fry butter in a frying pan and gently fry the carrot, ginger and onion for about 10 minutes.
  6. In the meantime prepare smoked sausage according to instructions.
  7. Drain potatoes and puree with milk.
  8. Mix carrot mixture by puree.
  9. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  10. Serve with smoked sausage..
