In a bowl, knead the self-raising flour with the sunflower oil, a pinch of salt and the water into a smooth dough.

Cover the bowl and let rise for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 balls and roll them into thin pancakes.

Spread the melted butter over the pancakes. Fold them closed and roll them out again so that the butter is absorbed into the dough.

Fry the rotis in a dry frying pan for about 4 minutes until they start to spice.
