Salad stew with zeeuws bacon


A tasty Dutch recipe. The main course contains the following ingredients: meat, potatoes, salt, cabbage lettuce, Zeeland bacon (in thick slices), butter, coarse mustard, pepper and nutmeg.

Directions

  1. Peel potatoes, wash and cut into equal pieces.
  2. Fry potatoes in approx.
  3. 20 minutes with a little water and salt.
  4. Meanwhile, wash lettuce, turn out and cut leaves into strips.
  5. Cut bacon into strips.
  6. Heat butter in the wok or casserole and bake the bacon around brown and crispy for about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove bacon from pan on plate.
  8. Let the remaining cooking fat shrink in approx.
  9. Drain potatoes (pick up cooking water) and mash them with mustard and some collected cooking liquid into a smooth puree.
  10. Making lettuce and bacon through it.
  11. Slice stew with salt, pepper and nutmeg..
