Remove the stalk and the tip of the green beans. Boil the green beans in a pan with plenty of boiling water with salt in 5 minutes until al dente.

Rinse the green beans in a colander under cold running water (so they stay nice and green).

Chop the onion and finely chop the garlic. Heat in a stirring oil and fry the onion and garlic.

Stir in the soy sauce, sambal, the ginger powder and the laos.

Cut the lemongrass into coarse pieces. Add the lemongrass, the coconut cream and the water to the onion mixture.

Bring to the boil while stirring and season with salt. Spoon the green beans through the spice mix and heat for another 3 minutes.

Remove the pieces of lemongrass from the dish before serving.
