Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

Chop the onion. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion for 3 minutes. Put the sauerkraut in the oven dish. Scoop the onion with a slotted spoon from the pan.

Mix with the Provençal herbs and salt and pepper to taste through the minced meat. Spread the minced meat over the sauerkraut and spoon over 100 ml of water.

Mix the mashed potatoes with the mustard. Spread half over the minced meat and smooth.

Halve the apples, remove the cores and cut into thin slices. Lay on the mashed roof tiles and sprinkle with the Provençal herbs.

Spoon the rest of the puree between the apples. Brush the apples and puree with the remaining (onions) oil in the frying pan.

Bake the sauerkraut dish in 35 minutes until done and golden brown in the oven.
