Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  2. Boil the potatoes, drain them and crush with salt and pepper, 200 ml warm milk and half of the butter. Keep it warm for a while.
  3. Heat the rest of the butter, fry the onion, scoop the apple cubes and the curry powder through and fry briefly.
  4. Mix in the drained sauerkraut and the rest of the milk and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauerkraut mixture into the baking dish and cover with the mashed potatoes. Divide the cheese mixed with breadcrumbs over it.
  6. Place the bacon slices on top and place the dish in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
