You need to cook this meat extra long, but it also tastes extra tasty.

Bring the water to a boil.

Place the meat on a shelf in the sink and pour the boiling water over the fat side of the bacon.

Cut the fat side of the streaky bacon every half a cm (to the meat).

Mix the oil, 5 spice, the salt and the honey together. Rub the meat side of the bacon with it.

Place the meat with the fat side up in the oven dish and drizzle with the soy sauce and the rest of the honey.

Cover the dish with cling film and marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Preheat the oven to 100 ˚C.

Let the pork belly cook uncovered for 6 hours in the oven. Cover with aluminum foil if the meat gets too dark.

Remove the meat from the oven, cut into thin slices and serve. Yummy! .
